EDUSP is the Haiti affiliate of DGI International Inc. that developped the technology for the innovative Floating Resource Recovery Plant.
The results of years dedicated to this endeavor resulted in an extremely efficient plant capable of processing 1,000 Tons per day of municipal solid waste producing approximately 26 Megawatts per hour and 4,000,000 gallons of potable water per day.
Under the umbrella of DGI International Inc. EDUSP has defined its goals as to be able to provide municipalities with a proven technology to process municipal solid waste (MSW) while protecting the environment for future generations.
EDUSP is supporting the growing demand for electricity in Haiti with Clean and Ecological energy.
The use of Photovoltaic (PV) solar energy sustained with battery cell technology allows our team to provide for the daily consumption of electricity of the population.
FLOATING RESOURCE RECOVERY PLANT
The Floating Resource Recovery Plant was developed in response to the need of municipal and state governments seeking a rapid response and permanent solution to the problem of dealing with the final disposition of non-hazardous residential solid wastes.
The problem is made more acute as a consequence of recent awareness by governments of the need to protect the environment for use and enjoyment of future generations.
Landfills are not an acceptable alternative anymore, rather a temporary postponement of the problem, creating even a larger and more difficult problem to solve if we continue using landfills.
Future generations will have to face a decline in the quality of their lives including erosion in the quality of soil, water and air to the point of impacting in the health and well being of our children.
The shipment and transportation of such wastes to other countries is also not acceptable, all the governments are aware of the impact that this will have in their own environment.
Therefore we must deal with the problem by seeking a permanent and safe solution without any further delay.
